Traditionally, dispatchers have used a hand written delivery log to track daily delivery activity combined with a delivery board (clipboards or treys) to hold future deliveries. ODT follows a similar process, but eliminates the tedious data entry associated with a hand written procedure. More importantly, by making this data available for viewing by the sales organization, it eliminates many calls to the dispatcher’s desk and immediately improves operational efficiency.

Mapping/Routing/
GPS Tracking
A powerful option within ODT is the integration of mapping/routing software. This feature lets the dispatcher use the map to assist with order combination, routing and fleet tracking, to more efficiently manage dispatching operations. In addition, it is possible to add discrete, real-time location tracking using java and GPS-enabled wireless devices from Nextel or Sprint Communications. With this feature installed and enabled, it is possible to visually observe the exact location of a delivery vehicle, or alternatively, to retrace vehicle movements to determine delivery time, route verification, etc.
Web Option
ODT it allows your sales staff to get delivery information without having to call the dispatcher. A natural extension of this is placing delivery information onto the web so your customer can access his delivery information without having to call your sales staff. Delivery information is maintained on a secure server requiring both an account number and password, allowing only your customer to see the information related to their account.

Extensive Reports
To effectively manage your fleet resources you will need powerful, flexible reporting capabilities.  ODT comes with a very flexible report program. You can view overall performance of drivers, loaders etc. or you can limit reports specific to a particular employee with a variety of criteria.  Plus, because ODT is capturing all of this information, it will provide management an overall picture of production and dispatch efficiency.

Flexibility has always been a primary consideration in the development of all of our products. Therefore, we’ve setup our software to allow each user to set the view to match their job requirement. A dispatcher in one location can restrict his view to only those orders at his location and ignore the other locations, a salesman can view just his customers at a particular location, while a manager may want to see a complete organizational picture.

Overall delivery and route picture for a specific day's vehicle runs.  These runs can be expanded to show combined order information, which can also be scanned to provide updated status information for not only the delivery but also the order itself.  This will help dispatchers ensure orders are properly staged and ready to quickly turn around vehicles for second and third delivery runs.

 

Order and Delivery screen sorted by custom load times.  Groups information into simple pull down sections, allowing dispatch personnel to more quickly sort information, make delivery related decisions, and better manage staff and resources involved in the order build process.

Very simple to use truck scheduler.  Any assigned users in the company can quickly determine which vehicles are available for certain delivery types, and at what load time throughout the day.  New orders can be quickly managed prior to load completion, greatly reducing the amount of time spent figuring out which vehicles to use.  This tool will also help those taking orders by providing a overall picture into the delivery window, helping make more informed decisions.
